OUR HISTORY:

We are a small, family owned business in the Hudson Valley of New York State.

We have been producing small batches of cold-process, olive oil based soap since 1999. We use natural ingredients that you will find listed on our labels. We sell our soaps both retail and wholesale.

In addition, we've been designing, producing and marketing our soap molds, soap cutters and soap dishes since 1999 and have earned a reputation for quality and service in the soap making community. Our products are well made, in our own workshop, and reasonably priced. They'll give you years of service.

RECENT NEWS:

Creekside Soaps introduces a new name for our handcrafted olive oil soaps: SAIPUA <sigh´ · poo · uh> a named derived from the Finnish word for SOAP.

Over the past years, our business has become two distinct enterprises: handcrafted soap AND soap making equipment. We now feel the need to distinguish between the two. Creekside will continue to produce quality wooden soap dishes, molds and cutters. Our handcrafted olive oil soap will now be known as SAIPUA.

As the younger members of our operation prepare to take more responsibility, we wanted them to create an entity of their own....and Saipua was born. Pentti was born in Finland and the Finnish tradition of sauna bathing has always been a part of our family. Soap...or saippua is an important part of that tradition.

In the coming year we plan to introduce a special soap for the sauna to celebrate our new name!
